YANESS vs Other Rotary Lobe Pumps
Choosing between YANESS and another rotary lobe pump? Compare drive layout, shaft support, seal protection, maintenance access, and what each quotation includes for the same duty.
YANESS Designs & What to Compare
Rotary lobe pumps share a pumping principle, but their drive, shaft support, seals, and service arrangements can differ. Compare the proposed models against your operating and installation requirements.
These YANESS designs and options are starting points for comparison. Use model-specific drawings and quotations to confirm the selected configuration and the equivalent scope from another supplier.
| Compare | YANESS Design & Options | What to Check in Other Offers |
|---|---|---|
| Drive and installation | Optional built-in reduction gears inside the drive housing allow a standard-speed motor to drive the pump at the selected lower speed. | Identify whether reduction is built into the pump, provided by a geared motor, or supplied by a separate reducer. Compare complete package dimensions. |
| Shaft support and rotors | Double-support is the default; single-support is available. Rotor options include bi-lobe, straight tri-lobe, and helical tri-lobe profiles. | Identify bearing locations, rotor profile, materials, and the rated flow and pressure for the same liquid and operating conditions. |
| Seals and isolation | An oil-filled intermediate chamber separates the wet end and gearbox, supports seal lubrication, and provides a visible leakage-indication route. | Check the seal arrangement, any separation chamber, support-fluid needs, leakage paths, and monitoring included with the proposed model. |
| Maintenance access | Front access supports wet-end maintenance. The selected model and procedure determine cover removal, rotor work, and seal access. | Compare the same repair tasks, pipe disconnection, lifting needs, tools, and component-removal clearance. |
| Spares and support | Parts requests use the pump model, serial number, and part identification. Supplied spares and documents are agreed with the offer. | Request a parts list, replacement procedure, availability, and supply terms. Separate included spares from optional purchases. |
| Price and supply scope | The quotation defines the offered pump and drive package, agreed tests, documents, spares, and commercial terms. | Match equipment, exclusions, delivery, warranty, and installation responsibilities before comparing package prices. |
Compare the Design Behind Each Offer
Drive Layout & Installation Envelope
YANESS offers factory-fitted reduction gears inside the pump drive housing as an option. This allows a standard-speed motor to drive the rotors at the selected lower speed, changing the arrangement of the motor, reducer, and coupling.
Compare complete package drawings for length, mass, connections, guards, and maintenance space. Establish which layout fits the site and meets starting and running duty using the actual proposed equipment.
Drive & Reduction ArrangementsShaft Support, Rotor Profile & Rated Duty
The YANESS default uses bearings on both sides of the rotors, with the front support integrated into the cover. A single-support layout is also available. Rotor profiles can be selected around solids passage, viscosity, and flow requirements.
For each offer, compare the support arrangement, rotor materials and profile, rated speed, and pressure limits. Use the same starting viscosity, temperature, solids, and required flow to assess the proposed models.
Shaft-Support ArrangementsSeals, Isolation & Leakage Monitoring
The YANESS intermediate chamber contains oil between the wet end and gearbox. It supports seal cooling and lubrication and provides an indicator route for leakage. Oil-level checks, leakage observation, and the response to seal symptoms remain part of operation.
Compare the other proposed model’s seal layout, separation arrangement, support-fluid requirements, and leakage detection. Include auxiliary equipment and any required utilities in the comparison.
Isolation-Chamber DesignMaintenance Tasks, Spares & Repair Access
YANESS uses front access for wet-end service. Review the selected model’s cover-removal, rotor, seal, and wear-part procedures against the space available around the installed pump.
Compare the same repair tasks on both models, including draining, lifting, pipe disconnection, tools, and removal clearance. Use model and part identification to check replacement parts, supplied documents, and quoted availability.
Wet-End Maintenance GuideQuotation Scope & Operating-Cost Assumptions
Compare the YANESS quotation with an equivalent equipment list: pump, motor or drive, reducer, base, pressure protection, instruments, spares, tests, and documents. Record exclusions, delivery, warranty, and installation responsibilities.
For an operating-cost comparison, agree the assumptions for runtime, input power, replacement parts, labor, and downtime. Label quoted values and estimates clearly.
